Tanzania is one of the last few safe havens for discerning explorers yearning for true wilderness freedom. This journey will commemorate the country’s Northern Circuit, which will take you along the path of the world’s last great migration, passing through beautiful landscapes, big game, ancient cultures, and true wilderness on a grand scale.
Upon arrival, we will pick you up from either Kilimanjaro or Arusha airports. Our driver will be waiting for you with a sign with your name on it, and will pick you up to take you to your dinner and overnight accommodations. He’ll be able to answer all of your questions about the upcoming safari.
We leave early in the morning after breakfast for Tarangire National Park. We head to our luxury partner lodge near the park for dinner and overnight after lunch and an extensive game drive.
The park’s name is thought to have been derived from the name of the river that runs through it. Tarangire’s landscape is in stark contrast to all of East Africa’s other parks, which are all more open plains, iconic savannah, populated primarily by acacia trees in the large flora department. Tarangire is home to a large population of baobab trees, incredible trees that can live for hundreds of years.
The park is also known for its elephant families, which congregate near the river regularly. Giraffe, bushbuck, and hartebeest are also possible sightings. A variety of predators, including lions and leopards, keep a close eye on these animals. Tarangire National Park is home to more breeding bird species than any other place on the planet!
We will pick you up after breakfast and drive you to Serengeti National Park. We return to our luxury tented lodge for dinner and overnight after a long game drive and lunch.
The beautiful and vast Serengeti, Tanzania’s largest and most admired wildlife sanctuary, offers visitors a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The Serengeti is truly magnificent; it is known for its vast open grasslands, which provide excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. For millions of years, its climate and vegetation have remained largely unchanged. While the Serengeti is home to a diverse range of wildlife, it is best known for its annual Great Migration. Large herds of wildebeest, accompanied by large herds of zebra and antelope, migrate in a predictable annual pattern in search of new grazing. The exact timing of the migration is entirely determined by the annual rainfall patterns.
After breakfast, we travel to the Serengeti National Park’s far north, which is unspoiled, beautiful, and quiet in comparison to the southern Serengeti plains. The Serengeti National Park will be your playground for two days. These days are dedicated to game drives in the park, with early morning game drives available. We return to our luxury tented lodge for dinner and overnight after a long game drive and lunch.
This park was named ‘Siringet’ by the Maasai people, which means ‘endless plains.’ The Serengeti is famous for speaking for itself, and for good reason. It is known for its unique landscapes and spectacular wildlife, as well as the migration of over 1 million wildebeest through its plains and woodlands. Wildebeest, zebra, Cape eland, lion, cheetah, hyena, and gazelle are all found in large numbers in the Serengeti. The scenic beauty of the sky, combined with cool nights and warm days, visits this last refuge for great migrations of large mammals an unforgettable experience!
After breakfast, we continue our en-route drive through the Ndutu area before departing for Ngorongoro National Park. We will have dinner and spend the night at one of our carefully selected luxury lodges after arriving late in the evening.
Ngorongoro Crater appears to be a lost world at first glance. A pristine wilderness is hidden behind the steep volcanic walls, with sweeping savannah, pockets of acacia woodland, and glistening lakes and swamps.
You will descend into the famous Ngorongoro Crater after an early breakfast. We head to our luxury lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight after lunch and an extensive game drive inside the crater.
The crown jewel of Ngorongoro is a deep volcanic crater, the world’s largest unflooded and unbroken caldera. The Ngorongoro Crater, which is 600 meters deep and covers 300 square kilometres, was formed when a large volcano erupted and collapsed in on itself 2 to 3 million years ago. It is well-known for both its geological wonders and for being a natural reserve that is home to some of the continent’s densest large mammal populations. The drive down into the crater is an adventure in and of itself, and once there, you’ll be surrounded by large herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and over 500 bird species. The crater offers the best opportunity to see the endangered black rhino.
We leave early in the morning after breakfast for Lake Manyara National Park. The park’s western boundary is formed by the Rift Valley’s dramatic western escarpment. We return to Arusha after lunch and an extensive game drive. Lake Manyara is a pristine paradise known for its diverse birdlife and tree-climbing lions. Lake Manyara is a shallow, alkaline lake to the east. The lake, which floods and dries with the seasons and is home to thousands of flamingos during the rainy season, covers a large area of the park and floods and dries with the seasons. Manyara is derived from the Maasai word ’emanyara,’ which refers to a popular plant used to construct a protective enclosure around a family homestead (boma). From savannah to evergreen forest, the park’s vegetation is diverse. You might see giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, elephants, and, if you’re lucky, lions lounging in the trees while exploring the park.
